Lord Dhanvantri is considered as an Incarnation of Lord Vishnu who appeared holding a Pot of Amrit ( nector of immortality ) in his hands from the ocean during its churning by Gods and Demons (Samudra Manthan). As per Ancient Vedic Texts, Lord Dhanvantari is considered as the Father of Ayurveda for providing Good Health, Strength, Energy and Longevity of all beings of universe including Gods and Demons.
